i'm a total n00b, but i'm trying to learn. :-)
could someone tell me if this is wired correctly?
spektrum DXe transmitter
spektrum AR6210 receiver
SDC2160 controller
~24 volts of batteries
ampflow motor
i can't seem to get the motor to do anything in this configuration...so i thought i'd first ask if i even have this setup correctly.

The Spektrum connector on the side of the controller will only work specifically with the SP9545 receiver as is detailed in our datasheet. Your receiver will not work with this. However, if your receiver is capable of general pulse outputs from the top connections then you should be able to connect these to some of the controllers pulse inputs on the 15pin dsub.

ah. that makes sense.
so if i want to use a different receiver, then i should order the rc radio cable to make the connection?

does everything else look okay?

Yes that is correct, that cable should enable you to use the regular pulse outputs of the receiver. I believe on spektrum receivers they are usually labelled Throttle, Rudder etc.
Everything else does look ok. In fact you can check your motor wiring by just sending serial commands via the sliders on the run tab of Roborun+. If the motor moves as expected with the motion of the sliders then everything is good.

cool. i ordered the right receiver, and also to test out my other receivers i tried to order a couple of ROBCABLERC2 but when i went to check out, it told me i couldn't because the minimum order is $200.
so...um...do i need to buy 10 of these or something? that seems kind of silly. especially since i just bought over $1,000 worth of controllers the last couple of months from you guys. ;-)
