EDS file for MBL1300/1600 Family motor controller was created by beamster
Dear,
Im a ICT-Electronics student. My thesis is to implement a new datacom system with CANopen devices. I have a TC3G module of STW where I can upload EDS files of CANopen devices and where I can select the values that I want to log.
Now I have a problem with that. I uploaded the EDS file roboteq_motor_controllers_v50.eds on to my TC3G module. I have found this on the website of Roboteq. When I want to choose the EDS file it displaying "reading EDS file..." but it takes ages and nothing is showing, When using an other EDS file of a IOX module of STW , its works just fine.
So my question is : Is this a correct file? Do I have to change things to it? Or is there a specific file for the 1300/1600 MC controller? Im searching half a day now and not finding a lot of information. I hope someone of you can help with this issue.
With kind regards,
beamster

Hi,
the file attached to our website is the latest official EDS. We cannot tell why it does not work for the specific tool. Maybe a log or an error message would be helpfull.
Ask the STW support in order to let you know why it is not working. If we know what the tool considers wrong we can tell whether we have something in our EDS that is not protocol cpmpatible.

I got it working. I opened the EDS file of the motorcontroller in a CodeSys application (Import EDS file to CANopen slave device) and it could read out the EDS file. Then I exported the EDS file out of CodeSys and loaded it up on the TC3G module and it showed the PDDO's.
Thanks for the reply!
