Hi I just received my HBL2360. I ordered the dual hall cable and the r/c interface cable, but I am not sure what sort of cable I need to plug controller into USB of PC to utilize Roborun. What style cable do I need to connect port on controller to the USB port of my pc? Should I have also purchased the RS232 cable CABLE-USB-232-CONV? I will be using the controller open loop via r/c radio control.

I will not have any on-board/constant pc connectivity requirements beyond tweaking parameters until my vehicle is functioning properly.

You can connect the motor controller to your PC via USB. The USB port on the HBL2360 is just a standard USB Type B, so a cable like the one linked below will work:
