Dear Roboteq technical support,
We have NO momentary push buttons connected to a FBL2360 controller's digital inputs. Aforementioned digital inputs have been working for more than a year now and we really didn't have any problems, we followed recommendations from user manual on how to properly connect buttons to the digital inputs (user manual pag. 46).
Our Buttons are connected as a pull up switch using controller's own 5v output and an external pull down resistor,as I said before they've been working flawlessly until yesterday when one button didn't respond to operator's touch. I connected controller to roborun+ utility and that digital input (DIN5) is always showing 5v (high logical state), I thought maybe It was a button's fault (short circuit) but I tested it and It is working fine, then I thought maybe It's db25 connector's fault and I tested it and is working fine too, finally I tested the breakout board for db25 and It is working fine.
Do you have any suggestions?
Kind regards,
Victor.

Hi Victor,
So to clarify, the digital input is stuck at "High" no matter what the actual mechanical state of the switch is?
Please try resetting the configuration to default and seeing if this clears the issue. I will await your feedback

Dear Blake,
Thanks for your continuous help. I will try what you said and I'll let you know my feedback.
In the meantime we solved it changing Digital Input and changing our script a little bit because we still need machine to keep working.
But I would really like to know why this happened so we can prevent similar situations in the future.
Regards,
Victor

Dear Blake,
I'm truly sorry for the late reply.
It's been really difficult for me to access to the controller with the push button problem due to time constrains, but I finally did.
I connected the controller to roborun+ app and I was surprised to see that the DI wasn't active, I didn't even need to reset the configuration to default values. I don't know what the problem could have been. As I stated before, when the problem was persistent I physically disconnected the push button and even the DB25 connector and the DI was still active. It was causing an undesired behavior and that is why we had to change from one DI to another to fix this inconvenience.
I just wanted to let you know my feedback about this problem.
Regards,
Victor.
