I need some assistance on how to use the digital outputs.
Firstly is any setup required in Roborun to use them.
Secondly how will i know what the output voltage is, I have the controller on a 24V supply.
I know the data sheet says that the max output voltage is 40V, how do you control this voltage?
for context, I would like to use the output to switch a relay
Thanks

Hi Jono, the digital output is actually a FET switched to GND.
When active, the digital output pin will be grounded.
you would connect a relay coil, lamp, or suitable device ~1A max current draw, between your power source and the digital out pin, and when activated will complete the circuit to GND to power your device.
Best regards,
Steve Bozsi

Hi Steve
So if i wanted to switch a 24 V relay. Normally the output controlling switching would connect to A1 and then A2 to 0V.
In this case i will connect 24V to A1 and then connect my digital output to A2 (so when active it grounds and does the switching?)

Yes that is correct. In the Roborun software utility you can also configure if it is active low or active high based on several built-in parameters, or control it directly via our microbasic scripting language. Response time is about 1 millisecond. More details are in our users manual downloadable in PDF on our website.
