Power unit not recognized

5 years 5 months ago #29533663 by sgds23
My well-used HBL2372 ,all of a sudden popped up with "Power unit not recognized" when I USB connected it to Roborun. It was still able to read the "left" side of the configuration (safety featutres, inputs), but shows no model number or any motor config choices anymore. Yet it displays the normal outputs to the console, and if I type in ?FID it comes back with 1.8d.

Does this mean a) my controller has lost part of its mind, or b) Im doing something stupid like shorting phase wires or undervolting power, or, any number of screw ups I could imagine....

Please let me know how I can resolve.

Thanks!

PS. I am running Roborun Rev 1.8 (10.27.17) and when I do a ?TRN I get back

TRN=RCB500:Undefined
?FID
FID=Roboteq 1.8d RCB500 1/8/2018

I have reset controller to defaults and reuploaded firmware.

Same error...

HBL2372 has a separate riser board which contains power unit that needs it's own unit logic. We will have to email you the unit logic file, and you will need to have a way to connect to the controller over RS232 to try to upload it. Go ahead and email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and we will be able to assist from there.
