SDC3260 Reads Shorted Always

I have a SDC3260 with firmware v1.9beta ( came this way on delivery) that is always showing a short fault. I have gone so far as to disconnect all of the motor wires and nothing seems to change with respect to this fault. The only thing that seems odd/hard to understand is that none of the labelings on the controller seems to match the wiring diagram on the datasheet. The controller has labels for UVW terminals, where I would have expected M1-M3 + and - terminals. I am guessing this controller hardware might also work as a 2 channel brushless as opposed to a 3 channel brushed? Could it be that there is a firmware or setting that I need to enable to get the controller not to always think there is a short?

Thanks,

Chuck

You are correct about the hardware being interchangeable between brushless and brushed. Let me know what firmware is on the controller. If the motor is displaying a short condition without anything connected to it, there is probably something wrong with it's hardware, and we will have to RMA it.
