SDC3260 Limit Switch Inputs

Do the limit switch functions respect the active high versus low selection on the Input configuration? It seems that if I set an input to be a limit switch, then the input must be high to function., I have 5V from the controller wired to normally closed limit switches, so I would think that setting the input to active low would mean the limit function would stop motion, when the input was reading a 0V state - i.e. my switch is open?

What is happening currently? Is this not stopping motion? If so, go ahead and send your configuration profile and I will test it out.

I think you mentioned in another post that you are getting a short condition on your controller, so it is okay if you haven't tested this yet.

When I enable the limit function, the motors seem to always be stopped since my
Inputs are On. This is true regardless of the active high or low setting. If the input is high, the motors won’t run. Seem to have same issue with safe stop and deadman from what I have tested.

Post your configuration profile - I will test it here in the office.

Any further updates on this issue. I am having a similar problem on the safety stop function. Can seem to control how level and the function work.

No limit switches were set in the profile you configured. When I did configure it properly, both active level inputs exhibited proper behavior.
