closed loop speed for agv

now i have configure my agv with the mgs1600gy an fbl230 motor controller but i have a problem now.

when I used the open loop agv I used the script given by roboteq, to ​​control the robot and stay on the track, but now that I use the closed loop speed, I still have to use that script, or should I dedicate myself only to adjusting the PID? Please help me because I do not know where to bump my head anymore
