Dear RoboteQ Team
i have a question about the MBL1660 controller where we have two of them. But we are doubt about the shown battery current in the roborun utility. the battery amps are shown with about 51 A. But over a shunt we measure an averages of only 37 A.
How does this controller meausure the battery amps?

Are you measuring peak current or RMS current? All of our reported current values are peak current.
The MBL1660 actually doesn't directly measure current on its output phases, and just estimates it based on battery current draw and it's PWM output. If something in your motor wiring is drawing current (although 14 amps is a lot) that would explain the discrepancy. It could have something to do with your motor Back EMF also. But most likely, due to the numbers you are giving, I would check if your ammeter is an RMS meter.

i have measured with an shunt and a ordinary voltmeter. with the oscilloscope I measured also the mean value. but it has a lot of spikes. I'm think I'm not able to measure correct the peak current because the inductivity of the shunt. Between the controller and the motor the wiring is about 2 meter long. That can cause back EMF as you guess.
