Digital Input on SBL2360 not behaving with Low as active level

Hi there,
I am trying to use a digital input with a relay to trigger a safety stop on an SBL2360.
I would like the safety stop to be triggered when it sees low on DIn 2.
However, no matter which setting (HIGH/LOW) I choose on the digital input active level, the DIn 2 "LED" In roborun lights up when the input is HIGH.
What could be the issue?
My Config is attached.
Thank you

I would also like to add that the Safety stop LED always lights up when DIn2 lights up, regardless of Active (HIGH/LOW)

Can you post a picture of how you have it wired, and let me know what version of firmware you are using? I could not reproduce this issue with a test button.

Hi Gabriel,
This is my Roboteq Firmware Version
?trn
TRN=SBL2XXX:SBL2360
?FID
FID=Roboteq v1.8d SBL2XXX 1/8/2018
I have attached pictures of how my DIn is wired up.
I have tried 2 configurations of the wiring but neither seem to have worked.
We are trying to use the DIn as a safety input, where we connect it to the Common terminal of a relay, the Normally Open terminal to 5v, and the Normally Closed to Ground. This should let the DIn get pulled to ground if any connection is broken.
Do let us know how we should be wiring this.
Thank you.

Both of these aren't quite right. Please reference the input/output wiring on page 46 of our

Hi Gabriel,
I referred to page 47, Figure 3-5 when wiring it up as per the first diagram.
I might be missing something but are they not electrically the same?
It is my understanding that if you pull DIn to Ground (switch closed), it should cause the DIn LED in Roborun to light up if the DIn is configured to active low.
The issue is that my DIn works as an active High (i.e when the switch is OPEN) regardless of which way I configure the DIn in roborun.
Could you explain what I'm not getting right?
Thanks for the help!

Put a pull down resistor between Din2 and GND

Hi Gabriel,
I have done as you suggested, putting a resistor between DIn2 and ground, but it still does not work as expected.
I don't know how to make it clearer. I want to trigger a safety stop when a DIn2 sees LOW.
I.E, when DIn2 is pulled to ground, the Safety Stop LED lights up.
This is what I am configuring in Roborun.
I am wiring DIn2 (Blue Wire) to a resistor, which is then connected to Ground (Blue Wire)
The white wire is what I use to trigger a High, by connecting to the 5v line. It is currently not connected, and DIn2 should see LOW.
The circled indicators are what I expect to light up, as DIn2 is LOW, but as seen, they do not light up.
If the above can be achieved in your lab, kindly send me either screenshots or pictures of your config and wiring.
Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
Sincerely
Arron Li

Hello Aaron,
I can't say that I am able to replicate the problem that you are having. it works perfectly for me just bridging a resistor from 5v to the digital input. You will have to check your bread board to make sure that you aren't losing connectivity somewhere. Also, please try on a couple other digital inputs.
