I have a MDC1460 in a fixed location in an exterior building, where its job is to move the heavy roof (it rolls on and off the building).
A few nights ago we had a violent thunderstorm, with one or two lightning hits very close to the building. The next day I have found that the controller does not power the motor and reports a "short circuit" fault flag. I also found that the current draw seems rather high (this is an indirect measurement: the whole system is powered by a big 12V battery, which is maintained by a charge control system -- that was running very hot). I have disconnected the controller.
Is this fault flag something internal or a problem with the motor?
