Continuous Motor Movement

Hello, I am relatively new to Roboteq products. I am using the SBL2360T Motor Controller.

I wanted to ask if it is possible to issue continuous motor movement with just a single command. For example, when I run a motor in open loop mode and issue the command !G 1 500 (go command), I see the motor jerk for a moment before ceasing movement. The command has to be looped for the motor to continue moving continuously. The same applies for the !S command in closed loop mode.

Is there a way to configure the controller such that a single command enables continuous motion? I believe this is not a watch dog issue as I have deactivated it. If this is not possible, what is the frequency the command should be repeated. I am concerned as I intend to control the Roboteq controller with Modbus RTU, which can be slow, especially as I have other slaves on the network.

We're also new. In our experience with the similar FBL2360TE, we don't need to issue the command repeatedly. Just once is enough to get the motor spinning until another command is issued to stop it. Same with open loop or closed loop. Maybe you don't have enough battery power.
