I have a M5 servo controller that was built by Effective Engineering out of California. I am currently using it in a animatronic character in a haunted house. I started looking for a back-up for this one, but like you haven't been able to find one that is 8 channel.

I also have that Effective Engineering M5 controller- such a great compact device. I was planning to use it for a theater piece but for some reason it has stopped moving the servos- the light for the servo power doesn't come on...I believe when I bought this he was going out of business- I am shocked that there isn't some equivalent that has not been developed because it has been a few years.
