I am working on building a tactical bot with a an arm attached above it. The bot will have a chain drive system like tanks with a very high torque ability with an arm above it with a 6 dof system. The whole bot is going to be controlled from another laptop through wifi 5ghz. So I was willing to use the ax3500 for the main bot dc motors drive that will drive the bot and the sdc series to take pwm pulses from the ax controller and convert it to the geared / encoded dc motors that will move the arm and there will be 6 of them (motors) .

Any recommendations ? Is this right or should I use another controller. Will I be able to control the arm and the bot through wifi ?

Will the system works as I want or there will be some limitations especially for the arm movements.

I\'ll be using joysticks from the laptop side to control the bot and arm separately.

Thanks for your help guys.

The AX3500 is now an obsolete product and not for sale.

As for another product, what are the specification needs of the motors involved? Volts, max peak amp, and continuous amps that the motor needs.

Most of the AX family controllers are now becoming an obsolete product.

The new generation controllers provide more options than the old AX family generation controllers.

Umm....

Still I didn\'t make any choice for the motors. If u can also help me choose suitable motors for the whole system I would be thankful. Yhe bot will heavy about 50 kilos in wieght with a full arm system attached on it. 24 volts system will be used.

You may want to try robot market place and ask them about the motors. They seem very knowledgeable with the motors they sell and can advise. Once you get a motor of choice, simply matching the specs of the motor to a controller can be done.
