AX3500 rev 2.0 in analog closed loop position mode

I want to control a linear motor using closed loop position mode with analog feedback from a linear pot and using analog 0-5 volts for the control. Is this possible?

I just received the AX3500 and it appears to be a rev 2.0 (in silkscreen ), but the documentation mentions requiring the rev 3 for extra analog inputs. Is this correct do I need a rev 3.0 (rev B) PCB. If so, can I get a replacement rev 3 board and send back the rev 2 or is there some other solution (hopefully)? :)

Production of Revision 3 AX3500s is scheduled for the end of the year, unfortunately.
