AX-3500 AND XSTREAM-PKG 900MHZ WIRELESS RS-232 MODEMS

I have 2 XStream-PKG (DIGI) 900MHZ wireless modems (Model X09-019PKI. Has anyone got them to work with the AX-3500 M/C that requires 9600, 7 data, 1 start, 1 stop, Even and No Flow Control. I can take Roborun out of the picture and communicate between the radios, but I cannot find the exact setting for the AX-3500. The closest I get is 9600, 8 data, 1 stop, Even and No Flow Control. In that configuration on initial start up the Roborun software sees the AX-3500 through the wireless modems but I have no control of the AX-3500.

Thanks,
Marshall

if the modem connects to the PC via the com port, then you should be able to make it work by configuring the modem in 8-bit, no parity, 1 stop bit.

parity is something that only the PC and the controller take into consideration. To the modem it is just another bit. So 7bit plus even parity is equivalent to 8-bit and no parity as far as the modem is concerned.

If the modem connects to the PC via USB, then it is no longer clear how the parity bit is handled and communication may not be possible.
