AX2850 Analog Joystick

I am using an analog joystick to control 2 motors. Because the joystick\'s pots do not go full range over the joystick\'s range of motion, the motor speed never reaches maximum. I\'m trying to figure out how to get my joystick to control the motors over the full range of speeds.

I\'ve tried different joystick calibration techniques from the manual, but I\'m assuming they only apply to radio control joysticks. I went through the automatic joystick calibration, I\'ve adjusted the joystick parameters in Roborun\'s R/C-Ana specific tab, and I\'ve tried using the console interface to change the joystick min, max and center values via the ^12, ^13, ... commands. None of this has worked.

I\'ve read about increasing the voltage sent to the pots to get a higher forward velocity, but that screws up the center position. That\'s not an option.

Is there any way to change the controller\'s analog joystick parameters so smaller voltage changes would give 100% velocity?

I got some feedback from Roboteq tech support. They confirmed what I feared. It\'s not possible to adjust the joystick parameters on the ax2850. If you\'re going to do joystick control on the ax2850, make sure your joystick\'s pots go full range.
