Feedback and Thoughts on AX3500 Based LUGV

Hi guys and girls,

I have a project for work to create a full size remote control car to be used for training purposes. I have received my AX3500, thankyou it is a beautifully made thing.

I hope to get some feedback and opinions on my plans and if there are any ideas you think may not work with the motor controller please share.

Steering - 12VDC AME-226 Wiper motor position feedback with a Potentiometer back to the motor controller in closed-loop position mode

Throttle - SERVO - push/pull cable linkage will pull on the pedal

Brake - LINEAR SERVO - push/pull cable linkage will pull on the pedal

Transmission - LINEAR SERVO - push pull cable linkage will push the stick (Auto) to D-N-R depending on setting

Having never setup a Roboteq controller however had brilliant feedback about them. Do you guys see any flaws in what i have described above and is there any words of wisdom you could share on the topic?

Kind regards

Ben

What you describe is typical of how most of the implementations are are aware of. See also the youtube video on the remote controlled toyota www.youtube.com/user/roboteqinc?feature=mhum#p/u/7/BL-W7M26JGA.

In this application, some commands were made using pneumatic actuators.
