HBL2350 Hall Sequence and rotor direction problem was created by jppedroni
Hello everyone,
I\'m working with a HBL2350 and a Faulhaber 4490 BLDC motor.
I configured the hall sensors sequence in order to get the one shown on Figure 39 (Advanced Digital Motor Controllers User Manual, v1.2, January 8, 2011).
I’m using Roborun+ rev 1.2 8/3/11. The problem is that when I send a positive command to the motor, the hall sensor count goes down instead of up!
I tried swapping two sensor wires with no luck.
Any help?
Regards,
Juan

This normally works. Try swapping another 2 hall sensor wires.

I\'ve tried the six hall permutations, each one with the same results. For each hall combination only one phase combination works. The thing is that when I get on my oscilloscope the hall sequence from Fig 39, with the rotor spinning, the Hall Sensor Counter indicator goes in opposite direction with respect to the command (That is, a ++ command makes the Hall Sensor Counter go -1, -2, -3... etc).
I\'m going to use an encoder to close the position loop. Will it work, despite the inverted Hall Sensor Counter?
Thanks,
J

Good news, I closed the position loop with an encoder and everything works fine. Speed and direction from the hall sensors is still being informed with the wrong direction.
