Using 10k joystick with 5k linear pot (AX550)

Using 10k joystick with 5k linear pot (AX550) was created by Anonymous
I'm working with the AX550 to control steering via joystick. The joystick is 10k and the steering centering pot is 10k. I'm considering switching to a 5k linear pot. Is this a problem,ie.10k joystick with a 5k steering pot?

Not at all; joystick and feedback pot can have different values.
