Controller for power steering control in a racing car was created by Anonymous
I am building a racing car for track days and I am fitting electrical power steering. The motor will draw around 80A max load and needs to be directional.
Have you done a similar application?
Can you provide details?
Do you deliver to the UK?
How well will your system work in a car environment. e.g. 12V lots of spikes?

We have supplied many controllers for full size car steering, throttle and analog brake control.
See the web site of DARPA; we supply several DARPA teams and are very familiar with this application.
We have a distributor in UK; see our web site www.roboteq.com for details.
You need to use one of our controllers in closed loop position mode. The instruction manual downloadable from www.roboteq.com offers a lot of advice on how to do that.
The controller can be driven remotely by radio or locally by joystick or by computer.
You may want to look at the model AX2550 which comes in a robust enclosure, ideal for a car environment.
