What is the minimum nos of pole for BLDC with hall sensor

What is the minimum nos of pole for BLDC motor is require to run with VBL2350 in close loop position and speed control. I have the BLDC motor with 10 pole and it is creating the problem and has jerky motion. How to resolve it.

minimum is 1. THe number of poles is not important. What is important is the that the frequency of changes of the hall pattern. The higher, the better since the time between changes is what is used to measure the speed.
