Absolute Maximum Voltage Ratings

I am looking into using a LDC1450 controller with a 12 cell Lithium Polymer battery pack, and I was wondering if the 50V rating is an absolute maximum or if the controller can handle a slightly higher voltage. The maximum voltage of a fully charged pack is 50.4V so I\'m not looking to far exceed the maximum, but I just want to make sure I wouldn\'t be damaging the controller.
