Regarding query ?FM on drive MDC2230

6 years 6 months ago #29528698 by rajeshwar
Yes, it did.

The Roborun DFU loader gave the message that the .dfu file was successfully uploaded and verified.
I recyled the power and drive was able to establish connection with host PC via USB cable.
?FID query returned ver 1.3 10/10/2013 ( I do not remember the exact text but sure about version and date).
I was expecting that version/dates to be changed.

I ran few queries and commands and they performed perfectly OK but not the ?FM. Response for ?FM remained unchanged.

Did you click the upgrade button? This will begin the reflashing. And the firmware should read back date code 12/12/2013

There are only two options avialable Choose and Upgrade. So there was little chance of making any mistake.

And Yes, I did click Upgrade button. The refalshing started with 'Erasing' followed by 'Writing' and then 'Verify'.

All these steps were successful.

Next, I recycled the power. Still No success.
Can I have .bin file formate of the firmware upgrade? I did not faced any problem in upgrading my drive with ver 1.3 for which I had .bin format. I could upgrade through COM port without any hassle.

I have attached few pics of the driver upgrade process.

As you can see that the firmware version and date remains unchanged.

Also there was problem with ^TELS. The response from drive was incorrect and it is changing values even if there is no change at the input. With ^TELS "?FM:?F:# 500" response was FM= 0:0 and F =-1000:-1000 when it should be 640:32768. The response for ?F was changing value from 0:0 to -1000:-1000.

Thanks Griffin.

The new file successfully upgraded the firmware and query ?FM responded the way it should.

But the problem with ^TELS "?FM:# 1000" is still there. The response should be FM=48:48 but it is showing 0:0.
