Can't read pulse inputs 5 and 6 on HDC2450

I can't get any value (other than 0) from pulse inputs 5 and 6 on a HDC2450.

Both the Pulse In fields in the Run tab of the Motor Control Utility and issuing ?PI or ?PIC in the Console tab result in a value of 0 for those 2 pulse inputs. The other 4 work fine. I re-plugged the outputs of the Futaba receiver so that those that were in 3 and 4 were now in 5 and 6 but I still get 0. According to the manual that means the pulse inputs are disabled but according to the Configuration tab they are all enabled. None of the multiple purpose functions of those input pins (ANA5, ANA6, DIN5, or DIN6) are enabled.

Do you have any suggestions as to what else I could try please?

Motor Control Utility Rev 1.2 1/4/14, HDC2450 firmware v1.2 RCB400 10/10/2013

You are correct, that they do not work. It would require a firmware change.

Is a firmware update in the works to get those pulse inputs working?

As far as I know, not currently. Are these the only 2 pulse inputs you have to utilize?

You can use a working pulse input and then use the pulse inputs 5 and 6 for a different connection (analog input 5 Digital input 5, analog input 6 Digital input 6)
