I just got a new sdc2160ns. But after I attempted to upload the new firmware but failed to do it successfully, it did not work any more. Now the status light pattern is blinking for around 1 seconds, off for a while (500ms) and continues like that. The software Roboteq+ cannot detect the board. I want to ask what the meaning of the led blinking pattern is? How to fix it?

The detail steps I did is as followed.
_at first, I tried to upload the firmware using my own rs232 cable with Roboteq+ Update controller firmware via COM port. But it was stuck at the step of "device is restarted" then failed.
_so i changed to the rs232 cable provided with the board, it worked until the step "uploading firmware file". while uploading the
8 or 9 th packet, it stopped and said the process was failed.
_from that moment, Roboteq+ could not detect the board. when i tried uploading the firmware, it said the device not found ...

I want to add some points. I am working on sdc2160ns but i am using its to run dual channels!! Somehow, it works with the sdc2160 firmware with all the dual channel controlling features!! The reason is that I could not find the sdc2160ns firmware. And I am more familiar with dual channel firmware so i can stick with it for now. But sooner or later, I ll require to use single for higher current limit. So my question is what firmware I should use? is it sdc2150s or something else?

You installed the wrong firmware. You want the sdc21xxS firmware.

The firmware covers can and non can units. So no special firmware needed to use can.

If device is not found, then try cycling the power to the controller.

Yes it does.

2 blinks means you are in pulse mode. Constant rapid blinking can mean that the controller is rebooting nonstop. Also, a constant blinking can mean that there could be a short on the output stage.
