Problem facing when using Tank Mode was created by stjacky
Hello, I am using XDC2230 to drive two motor, using mixed mode for tank steering.
I am using RC pulses to drive it at the moment.
What i am facing is: i can control two motor go forward with any speed, but for backward, i can only move it at very very slow speed, when ever i add up the speed, two motors stop. but when i go forward again, it resume normal.
also for left spin it function normal, but right spin it act like the backward moment, can only move at a very slow speed.
is there any setting can solve this problem?
Thanks,

You do that from the console tab of the utility. The download file in link below will have 2 files; bin and dfu.
You will only need one of them depending on how you are connected to the pc. If you are using a usb connection, then it will be the dfu file; comport will use the bin file (rs232).

If you are updating via usb, that is normal. The utility should open up a dfu loader utility and attempt to install dfu drivers for first time update.
The USB is not a reliable connection when running the motors with the pc, so serial RS232 must be used as it is a proven robust connection.

Make sure the pc installs the stm32 device drivers. Sometimes it does not do this on its own. In the dfu loader, it should have a drop down menu, and stm32 device should be listed. If not, then unplug the usb and plug back in. If the drivers do not install, then go to device manager and see if there is anything related to the stm32 in the list and try to update drivers in the properties section.
Here's a supplement that is used for the windows 8 and 8.1 installation, so it falls right in line with anything older as well.
