Pro help needed adapting Roboteq to power wheelchair

My paralyzed son has a 15-year-old wheelchair that is mechanically exceptional, but the main motor controllers have never been reliable. I am interested in adapting a Roboteq (possibly the XDC2230), but would appreciate professional help. I have am OK with mechanical stuff, and have rewired the chair often, but I know hands-on help from an experienced professional would be good to have right now.

We need someone reasonably close to Rhode Island so there can be one or more in-person visits.

We're not wealthy, but we expect to pay a reasonable rate for the professional's time.

If you're interested contact me at richard [at] gallilaw.com; or recommend us to someone else who might be interested.

Consider also posting on the forum of wheelchairdriver.com

The site shows a couple of wheelchair designs done using our motor controllers. Their forum is quite active with many people specialized in this fied, and willing to help.
