Any danger not using PwrCtrl

Running a SDC2130 with a "mushroom" emergency switch to VMot. From what I see in manual v1.3, figure 2 (powering diagram), and forum posting #29530274, PwrCtrl is optional and ONLY needed if we want the SDC2130 controller alive even if SW2 (emergency switch wired to VMot) is open. So if I don't care that the controller stays ON or OFF, I could leave PwrCtrl open/floating and use SW2/VMot EXCLUSIVELY as the On/Off for my controller?

Quick follow up. In your manual, p22, states that "even though Power Control may be left floating, whenever possible pull it to a 12V or higher voltage". So in the spirit of your instructions here, with my setup where I will not be wiring up PwrCtrl at all and using VMot exclusively to cycle power On/Off to SDC2130, then should I just jumper PwrCtrl to VMot like in the attached drawing?

You can if you want, however it is not required. The 2 lines in themselves lead into the same circuitry that powers on the controller, however, they do not by any means internally connect to each other.
