Hi,
I would like to connect via the DB25 port an Digital output to an 24V relay in order to activate another circuit which activates some kind of breaks. Any tips how I can do that?

The digital output is a switching ground, so you connect the negative of that relay to the controller dout 1 pin, and the +24V to that power source. You engage the digital output via command or script. Seepage 43 of the user manual for details on connecting.
You'll need to be a bit more specific about activating this. Is it via serial command, switch, or something else?
