FBL2360 and brushed motor usage

FBL2360 and brushed motor usage was created by tomly
I have the FBL2360 brushless controller and was considering using it to test some brushed motors. Is there a way to configure the dual channel brushless drive to run a brushed motor? Do I leave a phase floating?
Or is that not possible due to the difference in the motor windings and hence the control between the two motor types?

You can convert over by installing the FDC3260 firmware. It will change over to become a 3 channel brushed dc motor controller.
At this time, this is the only brushless controller that supports this type of change.
The (U1 V1) are motor 1, (W1 U2) are motor 2, and (V2 W2) are Motor 3.

Excellent!
And if I do install the FDC3260 firmware will I be able to simply revert back to FBL2360 when needed? I imagine I would be able to since they look like identical drives but would like to make sure.

Yes. They are exactly the same pcb board, just a different firmware.
