what is startup configuration fault was created by fnick2812
Im using Sdc2160 to drive a motor in closed loop speed. The motor has an incremental encoder and it uses a linear pot as its motor command. The configuration is attached with this post.
When i make the pot value to 0, the motor command turns 0. It should give me -1000 instead. The roborun is in startup configuration fault. What does the fault mean? why does it happen?

First, ensure that your controller has the most recent version of firmware available, v1.6. This can be found on our website in the
Download Center
.
What you are describing sounds like the range of your analog input needs to be adjusted. Assuming you are using a 0-5V pot, you will want to set the input center to ~2500mv, then the min to 0-250mV and the max to 4750-5000mV. That way the pot will have a zero command when centered, give a +1000 command when turned all the way clockwise, and give a -1000 command when turned all the way counter clockwise.
By the way your config file did not attach. Attachments in this forum have to be in .zip format in order to work.
