I have an AX2550 controller that I would like to use for a custom electric go kart build. The good news is -- I have successfully connected the AX2550 to my Windows 7 64-bit PC using a USB to DB9 serial and a home-made DB9 to DB15 adapter. I have configured the controller for analog operation and it is working as expected.
This is where it gets interesting. I intend to use a twist-grip throttle which has a 0-5V hall-effect sensor output. The measured output voltage is 1.12 to 4.25 volts. According to the RoboteQ documentation, the AX2550 is looking for 0V for full reverse, 2.5V for its "neutral" setting, and 5V for full forward. I would like to use the twist-grip throttle for forward motion control only. Is it possible to configure the AX2550 to accept the full 0 to 5V for forward operation? If not, what would be the most effective and reliable method for modifying the hall-effect throttle output to be 2.5 to 5V? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

You can configure your analog input for single direction control by setting your input min and input center range to the same value. So in your case you'd want Input Min = 1120mV, Input Center = 1120mV, Input Max = 4250mV. In this configuration your command will range from 0 - 1000 in on direction. See attached screenshot.
Be advised that the AX2550 was discontinued a few years ago and is no longer serviced so the above solution may not apply. The contemporary replacement of the AX2550 is our XDC2460 motor controller.

Thank you for the reply, Blake. Unfortunately, the AX2550 and Roborun v1.9f do not seem to have the options for such a configuration.

Then I'm sorry this is not a feature that you will be able to use with that model of controller
