Brushless Motor Set up in Sinusoidal Mode with FBL2360S and Incremental Encoder was created by Martin123
Hi,
We have a FBL2360S v2.2A
Trying to get a brushless motor working with the above controller and an incremental encoder.
When I save the configuration as SINUSOIDAL to the controller, I am not able establish connection again with the controller via VMOT( I keep getting "Contoller has been lost" message). Only when powered via the Pwr Ctrl am able to establish connection with the controller. After I reset to factory defaults am able to establish connection via VMOT.
Also I do not have pole pairs information on the motor I have. Will it be possible to get the motor running without this info?
Appreciate any help with this!
Thanks.

Which version of firmware is on your controller? You can find this by sending ?FID from the console.
You will need to know the number of pole pairs for sinusoidal commutation. There are a few ways to find the number of poles that are in your controller, see page 92 of the user manual.
