Building full size radio control jeep but can't get steering working properly

I'm starting to panic as this jeep needs to be driven on Sunday for a TV segment. I have an FLB2360 with the Fdc 3260 firmware installed so I can run 3 channels and use brushed motors. I have two linear actuators operating brake and gear shift, an RC servo running throttle and a wheelchair wormgear motor for steering. I am having problems with the sensor for the steering. I'm not sure I have all the settings right and I'm getting either nothing out of the motor or erratic behaviour. This is the link to the sensor I'm using. www.robotshop.com/ca/en/remote-controlle...3806-500B-5-24f.html
I am getting feedback from the sensor but the motor is not performing properly. I want it to respond the same way as a RC servo and rotate to a set point when the stick is moved in proportion and return to centre when the stick is released. I'm very green with this type of configuration and would appreciate help.
Thanks in advance

Well, I got it working and we shot the segment for the web series. It worked very well and we were able to drive the jeep up a rollover ramp at about 45 miles per hour. Very happy with the results. The crazy thing is even though the car was completely wrecked and the roof caved in, once we uprighted it and checked it out I was able to start it up and found that the radio control system was still working. I drove it back to the start point so we could strip the electronics out of it.

I'm not allowed to post anything until it's released but as soon as it's online I'll post it here.
