Switch off SDC21XX controller by external microcontroller

5 years 1 week ago #29533728 by isma45
Hello everyone,

I tried to switch off the motor controller by an external microcontroller.
I connect a microcontroller port to the motor controller PwrCtrl port. When I set 0 to my microcontroller port, nothing happened. I need to disconnect manually the wire and connect again to the motor controller to switch off it.
By the way, when I set 1 to my microcontroller port and disconnect/reconnect the wire, the motor controller reboot.

My question is : There is a way to switch off the motor controller without manual action ? Do I need to simulate a switch ?

Thanks in advance

Isma

What does "set 0 to my microcontroller port" mean physically? To turn off the SDC controller you should connect the control lead to ground - letting it float will not do the job. Given that the user's manual suggests using a 1-Amp (minimum) rated relay for this, I doubt that a microcontroller output pin pulled to ground (for off) or to a positive supply (for on) will survive.

Sorry for my late answer.

It's solved. Our relay didn't work properly.

Ismail.
