Hello friends.
I want to use MultiPWM connection between SBL2360 and BMS1040, and read data about battery status from SBL2360.
But I can't find exact instructions for that.
In BMS manual I found this: When using the PWM mode, external ground and 5V supply must be connected to the GND and VCC pins. (See MultiPWM in BMS operation).
Which is bit confusing. And I can't find any other info.
In motor control utility I am able to select Pulse Input and Capture Type: BMS, but how to read info? Is there any special commands, I tried ?BMC, ?BMF, ?BMS on motor controller, but I am always getting (-) response.
So,
1. How to connect properly BMS to SBL2360 for MultiPWM data exchange?
2. How to read this data on SBL2360?
Thanks.

Can you verify the wiring between the BMS and the SBL2360?

Hello,
connected like that:
BMS (I/O 8pin) SBL2360 (I/O 25pin)
Vcc in Pin5 -> Pin14 (5VOut)
GND in Pin7 -> Pin1 (GND)
PWM out Pin6 -> Pin15 (RC1)
Then I selected Pulse In Pin1 as BMS capture type. After I can't get any data. If I select capture type like pulse count or duty cycle I see some value means some signal is there.
How to read BMS data? SoC, flags ant etc... ?

Seems like firmware 1.8d is not supporting multiPWM for BMS.
Only beta versions 2.0 is having ?BMS, ?BMC and ?BMF commands, but its still not available for SBL2360.
Is there any information about updating firmware for SBL2360 which will support multiPWM BMS connection?
Thanks.

Sorry for the delay in responses. I have been discussing this with our engineers, and we are still hammering out some bugs to implement these commands over MultiPWM. Is there anything specific you are tyring to do with this? Perhaps there is a workaround we can work out.

Hello,
we faced with series issue. Cause we designed hardware structure basing on documentation from BMS1040 and SBL2360. But we did not done physical testing (limited time). As result our core pc was not able to get data from BMS, cause there was not available port for that. Plan was connect BMS and SBL using multi PWM and then all data will go thru dedicated RS-232->SBL2360->BMS1040. Which forced us to change core pc and many there thing (((.

The only workaround I can offer is to use RoboCAN.
