KBL1660 sensorless?

KBL1660 sensorless? was created by wmjbrown
The documentation says that the KBL 1660 can operate sensor-less. However the RoboteQ software does not have a sensorless option on the switching mode setting on the configuration page. It only offers Trapezoidal or Sinusoidal.
Can the KBL 1660 run sensorless and if so, how is it configured?

We have a dedicated firmware for sensorless commutation. You can find that here:

www.roboteq.com/index.php/support/downloads

It will be the KSM1XXX firmware. Loading this to your controller will enable the sensorless menus. For any additional questions feel free to contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Thank you for your quick response. Just to be clear.

1. This is firmware that is to be flashed into the KBL-1600 and not new RoboTeQ software. Correct?
2. Once this is done, Will I still be able to run with hall sensors and also to try Sinusoidal modes?

I ask because the RoboTeQ software is showing Rev 2.0 7/31/19.
