Recovery of MDC2460 FW install failure

Recovery of MDC2460 FW install failure was created by tedzini
I used the USB Flash method installer from RoboRun 2.0 to install
the original FW that was on on it 2.0.a 021920. It went through
and indicated successful installation but now I get the red flashing LED
& no USB comm. :-(
Is there any way to try and reinstall FW on the MDC2460? Is the controller
borked?
thanks to anyone for some help.

Replying to my own thread.
First 'inspired' by this previoius post:

More susinctly, this is what I did to recover.
I connected the MDC2460 through the -->RS232 port<-- with a RS232-USB FTDI converter. Then
started Roborun+ and manually selected the recognized COM port #. Then used the Roborun serial installer FLASH process. The final important 'trick' was to then: 1) turn off the controller, 2) start Roboteq+ again manually selecting the correct COM port to query,, then 3) turned on the controller again....
