Estop on Firmware Upgrade

2 years 3 months ago #29535445 by Peter Todd
Hello,

I have just upgraded the firmware in an FBL2360 from V1.8 to v2.1 and also installed the latest RoborunPlus.

I now get Estop + MotorSensor + MOSFail  errors  which I cannot clear.

I have checked the input configuration but cannot see any enabled inputs.

The controller was previously working under v1.8

Any ideas much appreciated!

Pete

Hi Folks,

I would like to report what seems to be an identical issue.

My starting state was:
  • Custom BLDC motor
  • SBLM2360T running firmware 2.01 11/14/2019
  • Roborun+ v2.1

To address an issue with the Set Velocity CAN command 0x2002, I tried upgrading the firmware to v 2.1 11/20/2020 using the firmware file "SBLM2XXX-Firmware-Update-v21-112020"

I saved the configuration to disk, performed the firmware upgrade, and got an "Estop" and "Motor/Sensor" fault. Hitting "Esc" will sometimes clear the "Estop" fault, but not the "Motor/Sensor" fault. I then used "Load Profile from Disk" to get the last saved and valid profile and then "Save to Controller". This did not clear the faults. I also made sure that I power cycled the controller, shut down and restarted Robotrun+ between each step to make sure that each time there was a cleanly running controller and software.

I then clicked on "Reset Default" and checked values like Number of Pole Pairs, Switching Mode, Reference Seek Power, Hall Sensor Map, etc. and they are the same as the saved configuration.

Going back to Firmware version v2.01 restored functionality.

I would greatly appreciate any guidance you could provide.

    Many thanks,

    pdp
