Hook potentiometer to 15 pin port? was created by bebel
I am trying to use a ax2550 for one motor in closed position mode, through rs232. I have a potentiometer, as well as the DB15 to DB9 cable which came with the controller.

Do I need to build my own cable to access the analog input to hook the potentiometer to, or am I missing an easier way to do it with the included cable? What is the cable included for then, if you can't hook feedback? Open loop speed control? Or am I just totally missing something?

Thanks.

The DB9 to DB15 cable is provide for connecting the controller to the PC for setup and test puposes.

To connect your potentiometers, you will need to get a male 15-pin connector. These are available at any electronic parts store. If you know that you will never use an RC radio, you can open and modify the RC cable/connector supplied.
