<P style="MARGIN: 0px">Can you tell me please what the PC output consists of when running RoboRun in RC mode? Does the PC output mimic the output of a RC receiver?

If you launch Roborun while the controller is configured in RC mode, it will be switching to RS232 mode temporarily (i.e. until next reset). All commands and data exchanged by the PC and the controller are in RS232.

<P style="MARGIN: 0px">we contemplated the idea of using a PDA on the robot side at one time. Roboserver is excessively simple, taking data from a TCP/IP socket and moving them, as-is on the serial port.

<P style="MARGIN: 0px">However, the most serious challenge is that modern PDA practically never have RS232 ports. So the challenge is making the PDA communicate with the controller.
