The FBL2360 has two tabs for VMOT and two tabs for GND. I understand why there are two ground tabs since one is needed for the battery and the other for the PwrCtrl switch. But why are there two VMOT tabs instead of just one for the battery?
Both tabs are tied to the same bus so they do not work separately. The two tabs are available specifically for cases where the maximum current draw is expected to be used for continuous lengths of time. In these situations there is significant heat on those tabs, so two tabs are provided to share the load and keep the temperature rise on the tabs within spec.
