How Do you use an AX2550 in LabVIEW? was created by wieliczm

I am using an AX2550 with my senior project. Using the serial port, we were able to use the RoboRun software to get our motors to turn. Now our professor would like us to implement this in LabVIEW. What is the best way to do this?

Labview has a facility to issue commands via the RS232 port.
You need to locate the section of the Labview manual that explains how to pass a string message to the RS232 port.
Once you have done this, look at our manual which explains which strings are needed to drive the controller and how to format them.

You can download Visual Basic or Visual C++ source code from our web site which shows how to program the controller through the RS232. you need to follow the same technique, but from inside Labview.

Tony
