This is a relatively minor complaint. When Roborun+1.6 is running on my Lenovo X1 Carbon laptop and there is no USB cable plugged in, it uses 50-60% of my CPU time....!

Thanks for that info!

I checked my Dell notebook right now and with Roborun it uses 40% of my processortime.

Now i understand why notebook shut down hard twice last days, guess the processor overheated and caused a shutdown. Good that i have a real pentium this time because an AMD could have died from that like my previous notebook.

This should be easy to fix, Roboteq.

1. Start yr Task Manager and click the heading of the %CPU column so the tasks are ordered thereby.
2. Start Roborun+
3. Observe severe CPU usage
4. Modify Roborun+ code to correct this needless usage
5. Publish new version on yr website

Thank you

It's not a big issue for me, i just close roborun when i don't use it. But it will be an issue for users with a slower notebook.

Also it would be nice if other forummembers with different brand notebooks publish their cpu-usage for roborun here so we can compare/learn from it. Maybe there's even a whizzkid who knows the solution but this forum doesn't have many users unfortunately.
Where do they all go? Which forum? I also have to learn a lot and maybe help others with their issues. Without your posts i would allready have bought me a new laptop if it shut down again. Now i can use that money for a superfast minicomputer to run my robot.

Scott i just had the touchpad going crazy while i had been using roborun for 2 hours.

After i closed roborun the issue was immediatly gone.

My battery was 100% charged all the time so that's not the issue, roborun is combined with my Dell Inspiron notebook.

Glad i figured that out! So i don't need a new adapter nor notebook.

I just had the touchpad issue again and roborun was not even running. Unplugging the adapter helped..

But i searched for it and there are loads of people with this problem, it's mainly DELL computers but also other brands. Maybe they all have the same touchpad?

Anyway, cleaning the battery and pushing the power button many times without battery seems to help.

It's something with static electricity or ground.
