Hmm, it's definitely in DFU mode then.

Let's consider this: which version of the DFU loader and Roborun+ are you on? For Roborun+ also let me know the date of the revision you are using.

The revision of Roborun+ is Rev 1.8 5/31/18. I believe it is the latest one.
And the version of the DFU loader found in the program file for the Roborun+ software is v3.0.5

You mentioned that you had access to RS232. Does the computer open a com port when it is connected with an RS232 cable?

The PC does manage to open a COM port when I connect the controller via RS232 and I have configured the baudrate and settings according to the default settings of the RoboteQ controller.

If I update the controller firmware via the COM port, I do connect to the controller via COM port 4 and it gets stuck waiting for a device restart. The error i receive is that the device starting string not detected.

Go ahead and try to force the firmware update from RS232. You should be able to do this from the console tab with the Update Controller Firmware via COM port button.

I'm not sure if i was attempting it correctly. I did try to force it manually. I have attached a screen shot of the error I kept receiving when i manually try to force the firmware update. I have also tried using multiple RS232 to USB converter cables as I thought this may be the issue, and it still had no effect.

Hey, are you cycling the power to the controller in the com firmware updated while it is waiting for a restart? We are pretty puzzled about what is going on over here, it sounds like you should still be able to upload firmware for this fix, but it's almost like something is blocking it. I'm still reviewing this with some of our engineers.
