This is to prevent the robot or vehicle from moving, in case the joystick was in an active position at the moment the controller was turned on. The “no ctrl” message will scroll on the LED display while the controller is disabled.

In my application, when I start the car, I need the electric motor (a power steering pump) to be spinning. As the car speeds up, the electric motor should be decellerating (to provide less power assist). The problem is, the "base" value, which is 0 rpm on the speed sensor (which sends 0v to the controller) is going to not let the controller begin operation! How can this "feature" by bypassed? I have no idea how I'd send a 2.5v signal to the motor controllers for a moment when I turn the key on, then arbitrarily drop it to 0v. This is a roadblock to making this work. I realize it's a "safety feature" but in my application, I just need the control to start doing it's job when I turn the key to the ON position. This isn't a robot that's going to run away, it's a fluid pump that just needs to start pumping fluid when it's powered up.
