I have tried everthing and have abandoned using SBL1360 controller it just kept cutting out, now using MBL1660 which seems to be more reliable

Interesting it doesn't seem to be affected using MBL660. What was the current you were drawing from the motor using the SBL1360? The bigger difference here is definitely the amperage rating., besides the pcb design and layout.

it runs arround 2 to 4 Amps but the startup current is a lot higher and more difficult to measure. Maxon however list a start current of 124 Amps and a nominal current of 5 Amps.
My only other idea as to what might have caused this issue is thatthe SBL1360 is not enclosed and it sensitive to the environment, there has been a lot of carbon fiber dust floating about.
