Wondering if there is an option to use the BMS1040 with SLA as opposed to Li batteries and still make use of the circuit breaker, charge and regen functions?

If not, do you have a battery manufacturer that you have had good success using the BMS with?

Working a project that historically has had (2) 75-100Ah batteries in a 24V bank configuration. Would like to use the BMS if possible, but have always used SLA batteries in the past.

Also, is there a charger that you have used with the BMS that works well?

Thanks,

Chuck

Hey Chuck, unfortunately it is still too early for us to feel comfortable making any recommendations surrounding the BMS. We are currently evaluating battery companies in order to come up with the best recommendation for sourcing.

Unfortunately, Sealed Lead Acid is not currently one of the supported battery chemistries for our BMS. I'm going to bring it up at the engineering meeting, but it is starting to sound like it may be impossible with our current version of the BMS due to hardware limitations.

Here is what we use in our lab. For charging, any DC power supply will do. I apologize that we don't have any more recommendations for you, but we are currently working on figuring out who can provide the best solution for our customers.
